Best Practices for Publishers

Publishers working with Smowtion are required to follow, understand an adhere to the following policies, so please read them thoroughly and in full. If you fail to comply with these policies, we reserve the right to disable ad serving to your site and/or terminate your Smowtion account. If your account is terminated, you will not be eligible for further participation with Smowtion.

Due to the possibility of changes to our policies at any time, please regularly check here for updates or if not please contact support@smowtion.com. In accordance with our Best Practices for Publishers, it's your responsibility to keep up to date with, and adhere to, the policies posted here.

Invalid Clicks and/or Conversions

An invalid click, impressions and/or conversion is constituted when a publisher clicks and/or makes a conversion on one of their own ads knowingly and/or uses and means to inflate their own impressions and/or conversions artificially this includes manual clicks, impressions and/or conversions.

Clicks on Smowtion ads must result from genuine user interest. Any method that artificially generates clicks/impressions and or conversions on your Smowtion ads is strictly prohibited. The prohibited methods set by Smowtion include, but are not limited to, repeated manual clicks or impressions, automated click/impression and or conversions generating tools and the use of robots or deceptive software. Please note that clicking your own ads for any reason is prohibited.

Encouraging Clicks and or Conversions

Publishers may not ask others to click or convert on their Smowtion ads or use deceptive implementation methods to obtain clicks and/or conversions which creates a false recording of seemingly genuine data. This includes, but is not limited to, offering compensation to users for viewing Smowtion ads or performing conversions, promising to raise money for third parties or placing images next to individual ads.

In order to ensure a real and profitable experience for users and advertisers, publishers participating in the Smowtion program may not:

Copyrighted Material

Smowtion publishers may not display Smowtion ads on webpages with content protected by copyright law unless they have the necessary legal rights to display that content.

Ad Behavior

Smowtion code may not be altered, nor may the standard behavior, targeting or delivery of ads be manipulated in any way that is not explicitly permitted by Smowtion.

Ad Placement

Publishers are encouraged to experiment with a variety of placements and ad formats. However the Smowtion code may not be placed in inappropriate places such as, emails or software. Smowtion ads, search boxes or search results may not be:Integrated into a software application of any kind, including toolbars.
