What does eCPM mean?

Effective CPM or eCPM is the effective cost per thousand impressions. It's calculated by dividing your total revenue by the number of impressions, and it is expressed in thousands. Its purpose is to evaluate the performance of the ads being served on a site.

Is there a minimun eCPM or revenue?

No, there isn't. Minimun eCPM and minimun revenue depend on different factors, such as the site's traffic, what the site is about, how long it has been registered in Smowtion Media, where the ads are placed, its audience, the type of campaign being shown (CPM, CPC and CPA), the visitors' location, the time of the day on which ads are served, etc.

Is Smowtion Media compatible with other Ad-networks?

Yes, it's totally compatible. This means campaigns will run smoothly, even if you're also using another Ad-network in your site, as long as they're compatible as well.

Does using foreign webhosting have any consequences on my payments?

Not at all. It works just fine.

What kind of campaigns do you run?

We alternate bewteen CPM (Cost per mille), CPC (Cost per click) and CPA (Cost per action) campaigns.

Can I choose which type of campaign I want to work with (CPA, CPC or CPM?

No. There's no way to select the type of campaign you wish to work with, nor to block the undesired ones, since they rotate all the time. Our platform is specially designed to serve the ads which work best for your site, no matter their type.

How can I get affiliates?

In the section “Affiliates” of your account you can generate a code to paste in your site (in the same way you would paste the advertising codes). Everytime that someone starts working with us through this ad, you will get 10% of their incomes for 6 months.

How do I start working with Smowtion?

First of all you have to register your site, once you have done this you need to create a set of ads, this can be done In the section; “My Websites” in your Dashboard. then you need to choose the size of the banner you want us to place on your site. After creating a code, you will need to paste it on your website, in the same way you would usually edit it.

What is the block per URL?

This is a tool of the filter that allows you to block specific ads you don`t want to see in your sites, by inserting the URL. When an URL is inserted, every URL and its contents will be blocked too. For example: example.com, would also block example.com and sub.example.com/inner

How can I remove a site from my account?

To do that you need to contact the Smowtion`s support and we will do it for you.

What is the fiscal information and when can I complete it?

You will be able to fill your fiscal information in your Smowtion account, between the 1st and the 15th of the month. We just need some information about your activities in your country, remember you need to submit this information for us to be able to process your payments.

Are the ads contextual?

Our system needs a minimum of 2 weeks to learn about your site`s content and the traffic`s preferences. During this first period we will try and test different campaigns in your site. With time the ads will improve and we will serve those that perform better in your site.

Is there any possibility of you being able to block my account?

Smowtion has developed an automatic fraud system. It works by sending alert emails automatically every time it detects suspicious activity. In case we need to block your account the money in your account will be lost.

How often do the statistics update?

The stats update every few hours, anyway we recommend to check them once the day is over. That way the information will be more accurate.

What are the tags?

The tags are words related to your site and its content. Those words help the system to serve in your site to more relevant campaigns.

How much do you pay per click, per action and per 1000 impressions?

The prices paid by different methodologies depend precisely on the mode of the campaign, the advertiser and the arrangement they made with our Sales Department. This means that it is not an inflexible number, but may be liable shift in tone in tone.

¿What does “conv.” means?

The conversions are counted in CPA campaigns. It is an action that could be registered in a site, a download, playing a game or buying something through the ad on your site.

Why did you decide to block my account?

Accounts are blocked in most cases because of: - Using the codes that were created for a specific site in another one. - Generating fraudulent impressions, clicks or conversions which is against our TOS.
